The Complete Fashion
cover personalities in this issue have broken boundaries of IMAGE, consistently
pushing the envelope on what we Africans define as beauty. We have watched
Denrele evolve into a nationwide TV personality over the years and have taken
sincere pleasure in seeing him transform the minds of viewers all over Africa.
In this Issue, Complete Fashion magazine explores a different side of Derenle
with no extremes. We were able to get him out of his ‘Akpolas’, those gladiator
shoes he is identified with.
And
then, to the Dark and Lovely leading ladies, Beverly Naya and Zainab Balogun
who have been revealed exclusively as the faces of the international brand,
Dark and Lovely. We celebrate their endorsement and what it feels like to be
the chosen ones. Zainab Balogun, a model, presenter, and actress brings a new
meaning to calm elegance. Moving far from the weave trend and artificial
embellishments, her natural beauty caught our eyes and the attention of viewers
all over Nigeria. It was even more pleasurable to discover this fashionable
personality is even more articulate than she is beautiful.
What
Beverly Naya, British-Nigerian actress and philanthropist offers is refined
beauty and the affirmation that regardless of our skin tone-dark, light or
brown, we are all the same and beautiful. She started the #FiftyShadesOfBlack
campaign in July, gathering a handful of Nigerian women with different skin
shades in the entertainment industry to empower young girls, teaching them
about self-love, self-worth and the appreciation of inner and outer beauty.
In
our sister magazine, Beauty Box, -besides a tear out coupon from Lillian
Collins, a spa in Lekki to treat yourself to a super luxe facial for a fraction
of the price- we also explored the other side of EVA Alordiah. In this issue,
Eva shares her artistic skill with a brush in hand, transforming her face to an
art piece only worthy of the Beauty Box cover. Inside this delightful issue are
runway reports from around the globe, fashion jury, trend reports, a full
feature on Gideon Okeke who sheds light on his role as Kim Dakim in the movie, ‘A
place in the Stars’ and many more.
All
that said, we hope you’ll enjoy this issue of Complete Fashion.
